27 MWp Solar PV Project by MH Technique Solaire India Private Limited

This project involves a 20 MWac (27 MWp DC) grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant located in the village of Manwath, Parbhani district, Maharashtra, India. Developed by MH Technique Solaire India Pvt. Ltd., the plant generates clean electricity using solar energy and exports it to the Indian electricity grid, which is predominantly supplied by fossil fuel-based power plants. Environmental Benefits: The primary environmental benefit is the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by displacing electricity generated from fossil fuels. The project is estimated to reduce emissions by approximately 36,352 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent (tCO₂e) per year during its second crediting period. By generating clean energy (approx. 38,871 MWh/year), it helps conserve finite fossil fuel resources and avoids air pollutants (like SOx, NOx, SPM) typically associated with thermal power plants. Social and Community Benefits: The project contributes to sustainable development by: SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy): Increasing the share of renewable energy in the grid supply. SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth): Creating employment opportunities during construction and operation (estimated 5 jobs annually during the 2nd crediting period) and providing training (estimated 1 annually). It also aims to promote local infrastructure development. SDG 13 (Climate Action): Directly mitigating climate change through verified greenhouse gas emission reductions.
