Loi Hai 2 Wind Farm Project – 28.8 MW

The Loi Hai 2 Wind Farm Project is an onshore wind power plant located in the Loi Hai commune of Ninh Thuan province, Vietnam. Developed by Thuan Binh Wind Power Joint Stock Company, the project involves the installation and operation of seven Vestas wind turbines with a total capacity of 28.8 MW. The clean electricity generated is supplied to the Vietnamese national grid, which is predominantly powered by fossil fuels. By displacing fossil fuel-based power generation, the project is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by an average of 79,265 tonnes of CO2 per year. Environmental Benefits: The primary environmental benefit is the generation of clean, renewable energy, contributing directly to climate change mitigation. By supplying an estimated 91,731 MWh of renewable energy to the grid annually, the project helps reduce Vietnam's reliance on imported fossil fuels and decreases air pollution associated with conventional power plants.
