About this carbon credit project

Wind power project in Maharashtra, India – Andhra Lake Phase - II is a 50.4 MW green-field renewable energy project developed by Apraava Renewable Energy Private Limited (formerly CLP Wind Farms). The project comprises 63 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs), each with a capacity of 0.8 MW, operating in the Pune district of Maharashtra. • Environmental Benefits: By harnessing wind energy, the project displaces electricity generated by fossil-fuel-dominated power plants connected to the Indian Integrated Grid. This avoids the emission of greenhouse gases, sulfur oxides (SOx), nitrogen oxides (NOx), and particulate matter, while preventing the depletion of non-renewable fossil fuels. • Social & Community Benefits: The project stimulates regional economic development by generating both direct and indirect employment opportunities for local populations. It also contributes to the improvement of local infrastructure, such as the development of paved roads.
