Bundled Wind Power Project by Sembcorp Green Infra Limited in India

The "Bundled Wind Power Project by Sembcorp Green Infra Limited in India" aims to generate clean electricity by harnessing renewable wind energy. The project involves the installation of 56 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) with a total aggregated capacity of 95.5 MW. This is a greenfield bundled project activity consisting of 3 individual projects located in the states of Gujarat (Project 1: 22 MW, Project 2: 24 MW) and Andhra Pradesh (Project 3: 49.5 MW) in India. The electricity generated is exported to the Indian electricity grid, displacing an equivalent amount of electricity that would have otherwise been generated by the fossil fuel-dominant grid. Environmental Benefits: The primary environmental benefit is the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions (specifically CO2) by replacing fossil fuel-based power generation with clean wind energy. Over its initial 10-year crediting period, the project is estimated to achieve an average annual emission reduction of 191,006 tonnes of CO2 equivalent (tCO2e). As renewable energy projects, they produce no solid waste (like ash from coal plants), addressing solid waste disposal problems.
